“In a World” where men have dominated the movie trailer voice-over industry, a feisty woman announcer will shatter another glass ceiling.

“In A World” hardly ever allows you to stop laughing. This razor sharp satire spoofs the arrogance of men, who take their superiority complex too seriously and to extremes.

The wonderful Lake Bell has suffered enough sexist indignities.

To make sure “In A World” gets it just right, Lake Bell not only stars in this robust comedy, she also wrote the script and directed the film to make the guys look as foolish as possible.

Especially her father, the king of the movie trailer voice-over announcers. To hear him tell it, the industry doesn’t crave a female voice. She should stick with what she’s good at.

His determined daughter will ultimately have the last laugh, and so will we. “In A World” shows what one woman can do if she’s got the ambition as well as the audacity. And Bell’s got no patience for squeaky voiced women who overdo their cutesy poo act.

Lake Bell is a priceless treasure on the big screen. Her slashing sense of humor earns “In A World” three stars. Because “In A World” is, in a word, hilarious.
