As every high powered business executive knows, it’s tough being a corporate killer and at the same time a loving family man.
Just think how difficult is was for Richard Kulkinski, the vicious contract killer known as “The Iceman”?
Michael Shannon gives a chilling performance as the complicated assassin leading a double life.
In case you’re wondering, this is a true story about the remorseless psychopath who killed more than one hundred victims and yet dearly loved his wife and children.
It’s only during an incident of routine road rage that “The Iceman’s” true nature becomes apparent to his family for the first time.
Ray Liotta compliments Shannon’s gripping performance as an equally murderous mob boss. “The Iceman” also marks a comeback of sorts for Winona Ryder. However, it’s Shannon’s movie all the way as the highly complex killer.
Michael Shannon’s character was in a rough business. “The Iceman” is a brutal, intensely violence, yet fascinating psychological study which adds up to a troubling 3 stars.
When It comes to playing a crazy character on the verge of blowing his top, Michael Shannon’s in a class by himself.
