“The Woman in Black”
Daniel Radcliffe

Janet McTeer
Harry Potter has graduated into ghost busting in the spooky, supernatural thriller, The Woman in Black. It’s a scary film with all the familiar trappings, the haunted house and back from the dead creepiness.
Daniel Radcliffe plays a somber lawyer whose job it is to sell a menacing mansion on the marsh in the early 1900s. He soon learns why the house is such a real estate lemon.
Radcliffe’s role requires him to simply look depressed most of the time. The supernatural thrills and chills do most of the heavy lifting.
The Woman in Black stylishly works its magic on fans who enjoy letting out a good scream once in a while. Radcliffe apparently doesn’t mind being terrified by the other worldly shenanigans going on courtesy of The Woman in Black.
You can see it in his tortured expression that Radcliffe realizes the house on the marsh may remain on the market indefinitely. In the right roles, Daniel Radcliffe can hang on to some of his Harry Potter popularity. And The Woman in Black is a good start.
It’s a well done shocker that gives you a good jolt of 3 stars.
I hope you like a good scare…
